Richard Powell
“Studying as a National Skills Academy student will help me become a financial advisor.”
Richard joined IFC in May 2007 where he works as a Research Assistant. His main responsibilities centre on doing the research on behalf of financial advisors into the various products that are available. For each client he will obtain illustrations and produce a matrix of the benefits of different products to enable the advisor to present these.
IFC are a small, family run, office of independent financial advisors offering all types of investment advice.
Richard has decided that he would now like to move into the Financial Advice role himself and both he, and IFC, felt that the Apprenticeship was the best route to do this. It allows Richard to work at a pace he is comfortable with and get the support he needs to complete the many technical certificate examinations required before dealing with clients himself.
